What an activity-filled fellowship weekend we had!
On Saturday morning, eight Scouts and two adults led by aquatics instructor Lisa Scarbrough took to the river for a two hour trek. Along the way, Scouts played kayak basketball, saw various wildlife (egrets, ospreys, great blue herons, and even gators), and enjoyed a mixture of light rain and sunshine for the float. Other Scouts enjoyed range and target activities at camp.
The afternoon focus was on training. Youth and adults were taken into separate trainings for lodge leadership development. Following, adults and older Scouts were able to take Angling Educator training to help lead fishing events in the council.
Elections were also held. Congratulations to our newly elected LEC: [insert names here]
And we can’t forget the food: waffles and bacon, a yogurt bar, sandwiches, baked potato bar, and ice cream sundae bar. THANK YOU KITCHEN STAFF!
We look forward to seeing everyone at our fall ordeal. Don’t forget to contact your chapter chiefs to schedule elections for your unit.
